If you’ve just spent a long day exploring Capitol Reef National Park, hiking, four-wheeling, or driving around southern Utah, you’ll probably want to unwind and spend the evening relaxing. If our basement game room isn’t for you, we have another suggestion — spend the evening at the Entrada Institiute.
The Entrada Institute is located in Torrey, Utah just a few miles east of the Lodge on Highway 24. The Institute is an educational organization whose mission is to teach about the historical, cultural, and scientific heritage of the Colorado Plateau region.
Throughout the tourist season, usually from April to October, the Entrada Institute offers many lectures, concerts, readings, and presentations. The Saturday Sunset Series program includes exhibited work from visiting and local artists, earth scientists, and humanitarian scholars. During the fall, they also host the Heritage Star Fest — two days dedicated to the study and preservation of southern Utah’s amazing night skies.
For exact times and lecture information, just drop in on the The Entrada Institute located inside the Robber’s Roost Bookstore on the main street of Torrey or click here.
If you happen to miss an event at Entrada, consider attending one of the informative lectures at Capitol Reef National Park. Check with the Visitor’s Center for a complete list of their events.
