Outdoor adventures

In our blog we’ve mentioned Brian Head ski resort several times. We at the Lodge at Red River love going to Brain Head each season and spending some time on the mountain. Recently, however, another resort has opened in Beaver. And it’s caught our attention. It’s called Eagle Point. We at the Lodge at Red River Ranch thought we should gather some information about this new ski resort in Southern Utah. (All information current as of this writing.)

According to a source at Utah.com, “[the location has been a] popular ski area since it opened in the early 70s and operated until 2002 as Mt. Holly and, later, Elk Meadows, Eagle Point Resort was reintroduced to the public in 2010. The current owners, three friends from outside the ski industry, envisioned a boutique resort with challenging and enjoyable terrain, modern amenities, lively entertainment and the highest standards in guest service. These qualities have made Eagle Point Resort Utah’s best kept secret, for now…”

• From December 21 until January 6, the resort is open daily from 9:30am to 4pm
• After January 6, the resort is open Thursday – Sunday 9:30am to 4pm
• Base elevation 9,000 feet
• Top elevation 10,600 feet
• Adult day pass costs $45
• Child/student day pass costs $40
• No entrance fee for children under seven
• Special tubing park section

In addition to the awesome slopes, Eagle Point has a wealth of amenities to offer. They serve lunch and dinner and are equipped with a full bar. They even have a “hot tub garden.” So if you’re looking for a great place to ski and relax, Eagle Point sounds like it fits the bill. Check out their site for more information.
